Our neighbours Martin and Judy have very kindly agreed that we may use their land behind the Franklin Evaporators shed for camping in the lead-up to the Raid. They will also make their on-site shower and toilet facilities available to Raid participants. The Evaporators are immediately south of the Living Boat Trust shed and behind the Franklin Marine chandler on the Franklin Foreshore – the perfect place to base yourself while you’re helping us get everything organised for the Raid in the last few days before departure.

The Franklin Foreshore camp site in the southern part of Franklin is now only available for self-contained RVs.

For people looking for something more substantial than a place to pitch their tent there is a range of short-term accommodation available in and around Franklin, including BnB and AirBnB. Search on-line in the usual way but remember this is the height of the holiday season and most people running accommodation are likely to be booked up or looking for longer term bookings.

The good folk of Franklin may be able to offer billets if you ask nicely - try putting out a request on the Info Exchange.
