Things we may have forgotten to tell you….

You need something to put your lunch in because no-one likes soggy, squashed sandwiches and as the world already has enough lunch-boxes we’re not going to give you one - so you’ll have to bring your own. On the up-side, you don’t need to bring crockery, cutlery or camp chairs as we will provide them all.

Please don’t drag all your best Festival-going clothes with you on the Raid. Separate them from the clothes and camping gear you need for the Raid and leave them in Franklin. We will bring them to Hobart to meet you on Friday 10 February.

If you are buying new camping equipment, please remove all the manufacturer’s packaging before you go to Cockle Creek – leave it at home, leave it in the bins in Franklin if you must, just don’t take it to Cockle Creek because if do, someone will have to bring it back for you.

If you haven’t done so already, make sure you let us know whether you are coming to the Pre-departure Dinner at the Franklin Evaporator Sheds near the Living Boat Trust on Tuesday 31 February – only $20. The booking form is at: https://goo.gl/XWDqmz

While you’re online booking for the dinner make sure you tell us whether you need a ride on the bus to Recherche Bay/Cockle Creek on Wednesday 1 February – this one’s included in the fee you’ve already paid. And also whether you want us to organise a bus back from Hobart to Franklin on Friday 10 February - you'll have to pay for this one.  We've had enough interest to run the late afternoon bus from Hobart - after the welcome event, but so far there hasn’t been enough interest in the evening bus to justify running it. If you want us to organise an evening bus you need to tell us. Book on-line at: https://goo.gl/XWDqmz

Free Stuff – hidden in the depths of the Terms and Conditions and Payment Policies was the offer of free stuff to those who paid on time. You can collect your piece of highly collectable, vintage tawe nunnugah merchandise (while stocks last) when you Register for the Raid. Look out for the Registration Desk either at the LBT Shed on Monday or Tuesday (30-31 Feb) or at Cockle Creek on Wednesday 1 Feb.

Boat Safety Inspections should be done at Franklin before you go to Cockle Creek if possible. If you can’t find anyone at the LBT Shed to inspect your boat call me on 0408 663 144.
