Notice to teams attending

Thank you for joining with us to be part of the St Ayles Skiff International Regatta 2017. As the regatta is only one month away we need to confirm races and tell you about the other events and activities.

COXES

Friday 17 February, 9:30 to 2:00. A course for beginning coxes. It will be fun, active, land based, informative, thought provoking and free. Names of those interested to: franklinskiffie33@gmail.com please.

OPENING. CEREMONY

This is going to be really BIG! To make sure your team is part of it register your interest to: franklinskiffie33@gmail,com. We only have 9 skiffs so that will be the first 9 teams to respond.   Skiffs first row or are towed to Huonville 8 km upstream then lead the boat parade back with the falling tide to Franklin. The parade will be a mix of many boats, one with a Scottish Pipe band. Skiffs would look best if decorated in team/country colours or flags etc.  Once in Franklin the boat will be part of the Opening an oar salute (toss oars) from the skiffs will be required.
