Sonia Shimeld (secretary of the Waterfont Association) writes:

'You may have seen that we now have a container, so we can move the wood out of the machine shed to make room for the Montagu Whaler. As many of us won't be around on the long weekend, we are running seriously out of time. A working bee at the Wooden Boat Centre is being organised for the whole weekend next weekend (Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June).

The tasks will be:
  1. Fit up the inside of the container with shelving.
  2. Shift all the timber out of the machine shop and into the container, then
  3. Erect a stock to put the whaleboat on and move the whaleboat into the machine shop.
  4. Then we will need to lift her up onto the stock and clean her out so she will be CLEAN and DRY by the time CODY (the shipwright for the whaler) ARRIVES ON 6TH JULY.
Any help you can provide will be absolutely wonderful, even if just an hour.'
