'Our first official skiff launch will be on Sunday 1st of November as part of Flagstaff Hill's wooden boat expo which itself will be part of a broader Warrnambool wide music festival that Flagstaff Hill will be participating in.  Like our 2014 Small Wooden Boat Expo the St Ayles Skiff will be front and centre and accompanied by many other wooden boats from the South West.   Saturday the 31st of October (day before our event) will see Portland's Upwelling Festival and their whaleboat comp which the Stroke Team have participated in for the last 2 years.  It may even be possible to stage a St Ayles Skiff regatta on the Monday (2nd Nov) on the Hopkins River if we can get a couple more skiffs in Warrnambool. Obviously a bit of work to get this up but may well be achievable.   Wouldn't that 3 days of boat related stuff be a wonderful long weekend? I will forward the flyer a soon as FSH have made one up. In the meantime save the dates and spread the word. I will advise re' the possible Monday event if it is possible. Let me know what you all think.'

Sounds like it could be a lot of fun.
