Volunteers Needed for Community Visit to LBT This Saturday

Sorry for the short notice but the weather is going to be a wonderful 22 degrees and calm this Saturday!  So the LBT is being visited by  a group of former refugees and you are invited to come along at 10am to join in the fun and picnic lunch.

The group of Hazara women, children and men came from Afghanistan. They enjoy visiting the Huon at this time of year to practice their driving, speaking English, and picking apples. But trying out the LBT boats (a skiff, grebe or a short Nancy trip has become the real highlight!)  This is the third year they have asked to do this visit. The group pay to go on the boats, and this raises funds for the LBT. About 40 people plan to visit this Saturday.

We need volunteers to help take people out rowing (2 LBT people per skiff, 1 per grebe, and crew for Nancy). Support around the shed to keep the urn going, direct people to the loo, help kids with lifejackets etc. Anytime you can offer between 10 and about 1pm would be fabulous.  Thanks so much.
