Members will be saddened to learn of the passing of Master Mariner Greg Guy.

Greg will be remembered as a great supporter of all the good things we do here at the LBT, a man who always had a smile and a friendly "how are you going?" even when he wasn't feeling the best himself. Many of us had the benefit of his boating wisdom and he was always willing to share his vast nautical knowledge with others.   We are the better for having known him.

Perhaps Greg will be best remembered for the incredible effort and enthusiasm he put in to help make the community ownership of the Wooden Boat Centre a reality through his involvement as a foundation member of the Franklin Working Waterfront Association.

A service of farewell will take place at Huonville Cemetery, next Monday the 21st of August at 2pm.
Casual dress, with donations to the Cancer Council in lieu of flowers.

A wake will be held at the Wooden Boat Centre from 3pm, please bring a plate to share as we celebrate Greg's life and the wonderful contribution he has made to Franklin.
