'At 7am on Sunday an intrepid group of adventurers gathered at the LBT. The Valley was blanketed in fog but the forecast was fine as we hitched up Billie, Imagine and Swiftsure for the short journey by road to Tinderbox.  After some impressive displays of trailer reversing we were all in the water by 9.30. The water was smooth as we began the short crossing to Dennes Point. From there we headed down the eastern side of Bruny heading for Bulls Bay, our picnic destination.  After lunch we went for a walk to the point to admire the views and inspect some ruins from whaling days and ancient Aboriginal middens.  Then, with a mild sea breeze springing up, the crew of Imagine hoisted the sail and we all made good time back to Nebraska Beach where we enjoyed afternoon refreshments on the deck of the beachside café.  On the way back to Tinderbox we had to dodge between a large fleet of racing yachts but we all made it safely across, pulled the boats up on to the trailers and headed back to the LBT. Congratulations to Endra and Tess for their huge effort in planning such a successful day. And thanks to Peter, Grant and Ronda for their superlative towing skills. A great day was had by all.'
