Bec Enders (from the Progress Association) writes:

'Council will be ready soon to construct the aggregated concrete path on the foreshore in Franklin. The Franklin Progress Association has been working closely with the Franklin History Group over the last six months to identify properties of significant historical interest. The plaques for these properties will be made in late February.   We are also really excited that the Franklin Primary School will be working with us on not only the planting of the foreshore but also the children will produce a child’s map for the walking trail.  The Franklin Progress Association would appreciate your support and attendance to see the soil turned at a ‘sod turning ceremony’ down on the foreshore where we all met last year. As the funding came from the Department of Premier and Cabinet, the Premier will once again visit Franklin to meet with the community and local businesses. We also hope that the students of the Franklin Primary School and some of their family members will be able to attend.

  • Location: Franklin foreshore between the campground and the tennis court;
  • Date: Wednesday, 14 February 2018;
  • Time: 11:45am to 12:30pm.'
