Many of us have been taking an interest in this project in Costa Rica (see http://www.sailcargo.org/). One of our long distance members Bert Van Baar is headed back for a second stint there having done the lofting a few months ago. John Young has forwarded us the following communication from the project founder Danielle Doggett. 'So nice to hear from you! I so wish that we could have come to
Tasmania for the wooden boat show! Please send our thanks to Adrian Dean,
I apologize for not getting back to you right away. We truly appreciated
the advice. Things are going well here, actually we hope to have the first
two frames up next week. They are both complete, just need to be
installed. The team has already begun working on the third frame.
I would like very much to stay in touch, and would also like to help you
move forward with the construction of your beautiful merchant schooner. Do
you think we could organize a call, or could I get in touch with more members of
your group? I'm sending along some recent photos for you here, I hope you enjoy
them! As well, we have some videos which you might like: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGuBI8GqmrsDNsx5KBUmXXg/videoshttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGuBI8GqmrsDNsx5KBUmXXg/videos Pic from http://www.sailcargo.org/gallery |
