Jane Johnson and Mike Hewitt write (on behalf of the committee):

'In June 2020, COVID restrictions are being lifted, however some remain in place until further notice:
  1. Rowing of Grebes is permitted as long as a 1.5m distance is kept between all people on board, a cox and a rower in bow seat would meet these requirements. The exception to this is a group of people from one household e.g. a family, may row together.

  2. Rowing of Skiffs is allowed with a cox and a rower in bow and three – i.e. 3 people on board. The Netherlands skiffs have continued rowing with 3 crew members as above.
We would encourage everyone to get out rowing on the river until we receive further updates from the Health Department. The above restrictions have been confirmed via a phone call to the Health Department. Looking forward to seeing you out on the Huon in June.'

Time and change of season will hopefully soon have us out rowing as in pic below.
