Noel Condon (of the Men's Shed Association) writes:

'Arrangements have been made for a visit and tour of the Nyrstar Zinc Works from 10am on Thursday 30th of April. This tour is limited to 40 people, and WH&S conditions are very tight. (For Mens Shed Members only) It will be about a 2 hour tour, starting with an induction and issue of PPE. Every person MUST wear long trousers, and long sleeve shirts. Steel cap boots are to be worn , if you do not have any, shoe sizes are required so Nyrstar can arrange “loan boots” for you.  They will supply hard hats, safety glasses, and hi-viz vests during induction.  This tour is a walking tour, with hills, stairs, and uneven surfaces to traverse, so may not be suitable for some.   Because of the limit of 40, it will be first in – best dressed, and if you do not comply with the conditions re boots and PPE, you will be refused to go on it.'

Given the restrictions on numbers we will need to move FAST on this.  Register your interest with the secretary: sec@lbt.org.au
