Nancy: Some bad news, some good

Having spent 4 solid days trying to upgrade Nancy's electronics Brian Marriot, Peter Heading and Martin Krynen finally had to give it best on Sunday evening and adjoin for a wake. They look suitably chastened. On several occasions success seemed to be within touching distance, and maybe still is, but for the moment Nancy is going nowhere.  We will be postponing our Seniors Week events.

On a much brighter note we received the following message from Gwyn Alway at MAST:

'Thank you everyone for your work with the safety management plan, the result certainly addresses the areas I had concerns with and picks up on the conditions listed in the AMSA exemption and the NSCV Part E. I will organise the certificate in the morning and email you a copy.'

This is very, very good news.  When we originally saw the documentation requirements for getting Nancy registered for commercial use we doubted that we could meet them.  Fortunately it turned out that one of our members - Glynn Shevels - knew what was required, and volunteered to do the heavy lifting.  Martin Riddle applied some finishing touches and the job is complete - see the results of their efforts at http://bit.ly/1su0Y6F .  The LBT is in their debt.
