The Regatta is intended to look after our spiritual as well as our physical wellbeing, and to that end TOP ACTS have been booked to perform for us. These acts (in turn) were concerned for our economic wellbeing, and so all the events are FREE, although the hat may be put out to solicit donations to sponsor the Regatta.Pic from Rennett Stowe
Kicking off at the Palais on Thursday night (12th Feb) 6.30pm will be the Licorice Allsorts choir, and then Tiffany Eckhardt and Dave Steel. Tiff and Dave are a very well known duo in their previous home state of Victoria, and after this concert we are sure their fame will travel through the valley and thence to the rest of Tasmania. We believe you may also be able to catch them on Friday afternoon, 1pm at the Wooden Boat Centre. See http://on.fb.me/1LiHj2c for more about this.
On Saturday afternoon Steve and Marjorie Gadd (who need no introduction) will be performing aboard Cartela. See http://on.fb.me/1BtDuBz for details, and register on this site soon: the scalpers are out and about.
To wind up, on Sunday evening there will be Riverside Jazz and dancing with Huon Vibe at the Living Boat Trust Curry Night, and goodness knows what that combination could lead to.
We'll all need weeks to recover.
