'Just talked with Paccy Stronach from Dunalley - he runs/owns the shipyard there, and is a boat builder and furniture maker.  He and his wife are coming down for the movie.  Paccy has agreed to give a 4-5 minute intro to curraghs before the film starts….AND  off his own batt, he is bringing down his own 23 ft curragh!!  Its a slightly smaller version of the one in the movie.  So we will have TWO curraghs on display on the night.

The film has been released internationally to great acclaim, and has won several awards at film festivals in New York, Luxembourg and Ireland.
Winner – The Documentary Award – Irish Screen America Film Festival, NY
Winner – Audience Award – Luxembourg British & Irish Film Season
Winner – Audience Award – Dingle International Film Festival
“One of the most beautiful films I have ever seen” (Actor Paul McGann)
"Bravo! An unforgettable blend of music, muscle power and persistence on the long and gruelling sea road to Compostela” (Tim Severin, the Brendan Voyage)'

Come along and enjoy: Saturday 23rd November, 7.30pm (film starts) at the Palais, $10.  More details on the flyer:
