The tawe nunnugah Raid is the LBT’s flagship event. In a normal year it
involves people from right across the membership and brings people from
interstate and overseas. But of course this is not a normal year. From the
start of the pandemic we have known that there would be a lot of uncertainty
around the Raid – the easy thing to do would have been to throw in the towel
but we thought it worth persevering. We have a small but robust fleet of mostly
Tasmanian boats ready to do the Raid and have the backbone of support
volunteers in place. However, we still need more people to help and there are
still places available for people to participate on the water. This year, with
the plan to spend two nights at each site, most people in Camp Support will be
able to spend every other day on the water if they wish. There will be a
meeting of helpers at the LBT shed at 5pm on Monday 11th January. If
you can help in any way or wish to participate please contact the tn21 Raid Coordinator
