On Sunday 9th June, the LBT hosted 56 members from the Cruising Yacht Club of Tasmania, who sailed into Franklin as part of their annual pilgrimage South to the Huon Valley.
Each year, the CYCT sail down on the Queen's Birthday Long Weekend, staying in Cygnet on Friday night, Port Huon on Saturday, then spending Sunday moored in Franklin culminating in a Long Table Dinner with the usual LBT hospitality.
Although it appears that the word was not as widely spread throughout Franklin or LBT members as it has been in previous years, the event was still a great success, with Kate (having just returned from Thailand) serving up a  three course Thai-themed meal; a great night was had by all and some dollars raised for the LBT.

A huge thank you to Lorrie Harrison who set up all the tables and raided her garden for beautiful flowers, Dimity Flowers as sous chef and vegetable chopper extraordinaire, and to Jen Tubman and Wunjo Stardust who helped invaluably with final food prep, service, and clean up: Without you ladies, this event would have been a flop!
Thank you also to Bob & Jonno for moving the boats at short notice, and to Lorris, Alan and Warren for assisting Lorrie with the lugging!

Put it in your calendar for next year - CYCT visit LBT Sunday 7th June 2020, see you there!!
