Health and Wellbeing Grant

Improving Tasmania’s health and wellbeing

As the road to recovery from COVID-19 becomes clearer, it is important we continue to invest in the long-term health and wellbeing of Tasmanians.

A total of $2 million will be available for community organisations and local governments to help improve the health and wellbeing of their communities.

The Healthy Tasmania Fund Round 2 grants are part of our Government’s commitment to make the State the healthiest population in Australia by 2025.

Successful projects will receive up to $200,000 to build community connections while helping Tasmanians to quit smoking, promote healthy eating, be more physically active and improve their mental health and wellbeing.

Tasmanians are already benefiting from the rollout of the 2019 Healthy Tasmania Fund projects which provided 25 organisations grants of up to $200,000.

Community-led grants are an important part of the Healthy Tasmania Five Year Strategic Plan, enabling community connections to strengthen and help people live happy and healthy lives.

Applications open on 7 September 2020.
