'This month’s film, Sunday, 1 October, we are ‘Crossing the Ditch’ to New Zealand and screening the 2016 poignant, funny and deeply affecting film, Hunt for the Wilderpeople.  Starring Sam Neill (he still makes my pulse race) and talented young actor, Julian Dennison, who plays Ricky, in an amazing performance.

Synopsis: A national manhunt is ordered for a rebellious kid and his foster uncle who go missing in the wild New Zealand bush.

Rated PG (Mild themes and coarse language)     Admission $5

Plus the Franklin Volunteer Fire Brigade will be presenting a short 10 minute DVD and handing out 60 complimentary DVD’s & booklets, on Fire Danger Ratings and the updated 2017 Bushfire Survival Plan. Our local heroes will be on hand to answer any burning questions you may have.

Doors open 6.30pm, film starts when someone flicks the lights. After 7.15pm but before 7.30pm. Yes, simple but it still works a treat.'
