Hire an LBT boat: meeting Monday March 12

The LBT constitution admonishes us to 'promote Tasmania’s maritime heritage by the provision of related educational and recreational opportunities to people of all ages, interests and abilities'.  To this end we have for many years held a 'right to hire' license for our rowing and sailing fleet.  Trouble is that, except on rare occasions, it has all been too hard to put into action.  Marketing, ticketing, etc, etc, you get the picture.  Now John Young and David Hume have worked through a lot of the complications and are set to go with another try at it.  David writes:

'As you are aware, John and I have been working hard, mostly ploughing through red tape, to bring into reality the idea of establishing a boat hire business set around the Grebe dinghies, and at last we are go. A certificate of operation has been issued and while most of the summer is behind us we are ready to operate for as long as reasonable boating weather persists.  I would therefore like to invite all interested parties to a meeting to be held  Monday March 12, 5.30 at Greg Guy Wharf (weather permitting, otherwise WBC).  While we have developed a business and operating plan your questions and input are most welcome in helping us make the project a success.'
