'I'm looking for help to remain able to go sculling at the Huon Rowing Club but my spacial and navigational skills are deteriorating. This, plus the fact that I am not fast enough to keep up with Tim Brown's coaching mob of young racers makes it difficult for him to keep an eye on where I am as well as do his primary role of coaching the youngsters who will be competing for their schools.
So I am looking for anyone who will accompany me with a tinny (Club boat) and help me get around without getting in the way of other rowers or getting stuck in the rushes.
I hope that there might be a few people who would enjoy a couple of hours on the river on Saturday mornings with a coffee and a bun thrown in when the kiosk is open. It could even be a kind of roster system.
So far, John Walduck has kindly offered but he will soon be relocating to Qld. Mike is willing to give it a go perhaps monthly and any other offers would be most welcome from anyone. Please feel free to pass this message with my contact details to your networks. (Kayakers, rowing club, yacht club, news letters, web site etc.
