Fuel at the LBT

We recently sauntered down to the ever reliable 'Rowan' to take a Tas Land Conservancy crew out for a familiarisation run and ... she wouldn't go.  After a lot of faffing about is turned out to be water (and gunge) in the fuel.  A filter funnel was purchased and when the contents of the tank were run through it look what we found (see pic below).  After the event the wiseacres told us that this is a common problem in the Huon Valley.  If you have any doubts in future use the funnel.  Pip Stevenson has also donated a jiggler hose for transferring fuel - thanks Pip.  See second pic.

Bailey Marine, who helped us out, told us that it's a good idea to run the carburetor completely dry after use.
