There was a bleary eyed start to the morning for many, after an excess of enjoyment at the lit boat parade the night before, but the marquee quickly filled with goods to sell at the 'Boot and Boat' sale, sausages were sizzled, and the St Ayles Skiff Regatta got underway.  It was another wonderful day, with many a bargain transacted at the sale, many teams competing in the match racing at the rowing ways, and the promised jazz band serenading the huddled masses (well it was getting chilly) from the deck of the Yukon in the evening. Thanks are due to many but Jane Johnson should be particularly singled out for organising a really special 'Focus' this year.
