The annual rally went off without a hitch on Sunday.  This was helped by the personal line to the weather gods possessed by Andrew Perkins: as usual we were blessed with warm, benign conditions. 'Imagine' led the procession out of Franklin under oars (first pic below), and was followed by a fleet propelled by an array of motive forces (second pic).   There were old fashioned outboards and inboards (third pic) and even older fashioned steamboats (fourth pic is Andrew's Leprena).  Our Nancy was one of the electric boats (fifth pic) of which Peter Shimeld's converted lifeboat (sixth pic) is the latest  on the river.  His solar panels fully recharged his batteries whilst we were having lunch (we were very jealous).  You may have noticed that sail wasn't mentioned in the list above. Andrew forgot to add wind to his request to the deities.
