Diesel Course at Franklin Marine

One of the great advantages enjoyed by the Living Boat Trust is the strength of maritime community around it.  This was demonstrated on Sunday at the diesel course delivered by Laurence Burgin at our neighbours Franklin Marine.  Laurence has decades of experience in building and maintaining boats, and all this was used to expand on the excellent notes provided, and inform and illustrate the course with telling anecdotes and very specific information.     We students ranged from those of us who were trying to come to grips with our newly purchased but geriatric donks,  to others who have cruised the world and just needed a top up on their mechanical expertise.  Laurence was able to assist all.
