Cut and polish for Billie

Billie's gunnels and top strakes have been peeling alarmingly in the sun, certainly not the look we wanted for showing her off in Geelong next month.  Fortunately the Wednesday group has reconstituted itself, and rolled up its sleeves and got stuck in to solve the problem today.  Graham Rankin writes:

'After something of an extended break the UCOS team have re united (that's Uncouth Codgers and Old Sods) The top priority is to ensure Billie looks her best before she heads of to Geelong. That darned Tasmanian UV had left her brightwork looking a little shabby, so it was out with the scrapers and sand paper in preparation for new top coats to be applied. At the same time work is continuing on the Library Boat, the final design is still evolving over coffee breaks/intensive brainstorming, all ideas welcomed.'
