There are many grant opportunities for community organisations such as the LBT. As an example, our local Federal MP has recently made us aware of the 'Stronger Communities Programme' under which grants from $2,500 to $20,000 are available - the conditions and details can be found in the attached document: https://tinyurl.com/y427vsja.  Taking advantage of such grants requires time, work and administration, and consequently we do not apply for them lightly.  Where we have been successful in winning them in the past they have been of great benefit,  funding everything from from sending boats to mainland regattas to extending the shed.  LBT members who think we 'shoulda' done something if only we had the readies which 'coulda' allowed us to proceed are encouraged to think about grants and put their ideas to the committee.
