'Forestry Tasmanian has provided advice to Council they do not intend to continue to operate the Forest and Heritage Centre or to occupy the building. Forestry Tasmania, the community and the Council are working together on this project to establish a pathway forward.'  This could have a serious impact on Geeveston, and a public meeting  will be held to discuss options:  

• Friday 1st May, 6pm;
  
• Geeveston Community Hall, Brady Street.
