Barbara Dawson writes:

'Prior to opening the 2019 Melbourne Guitar Festival, the up-and-coming young classical guitar duo, Andrew Blanch and Ariel Nurhadi will be playing at the Palais Theatre on Friday 1 March. Their current project, entitled ‘Alchemy’, is something of a ‘world-tour’, featuring some of the finest music written/arranged for guitar duet, with masterpieces from France, Germany, Spain, Brazil, Argentina, USA, and Australia. Andrew and Ariel have been playing as a guitar duo since 2014, and have been described as “two stunning young guitarists...virtuosic” (Sydney Arts Guide) and have been praised for their “dazzling guitar playing” (ArtsHub).
