If your girth needs thickening Franklin is the place to be at this time of year.  Three events of particular note for LBTers are: 

• the Franklin parade and party, on the village green (foreshore), event starting 5pm Saturday 17th December, details at the Post Office; 
  
• the Living Boat Trust party, Monday evening, 6pm, 19th December, bring your own everything - a plate to share, meat to BBQ, drink; 
  
• the Orphans Christmas Day at the shed.
