We at Franklin tend to think that the mild, brackish waters of the Huon make us immune from the luxuriant gardens of seaweeds and shellfish that attach themselves to the bottoms of boats in nearby seaports, however that attached photographs of the propeller of a boat tied up to the marina show that the occasional inspection is warranted.  That prop must have been working more like a paddle wheel than a screw.
