Richard Edwards writes: 'When I saw Sue's boat picture from Norway I thought I should send
you this boat picture. It is an image from an early celtic standing
stone in Bantry Bay, South West Ireland. I think the research on it
gives it the title 'Voyagers in the Vault of Heaven. It is vertical so
the four monks and their helmsman are heading upwards. As
I looked at the image again it reminded me very much of our two lovely
St Ayles Skiffs at the LBT Shed. (except the monks have two oars each
and we onlty use one each). I bought the little metal relief in Southern
Ireland.'  |
