Living Boat Trust crews have been rowing in this international 'Covid' event, organised 'cos we can't make it to the British (and Irish) isles for the real thing. Lorrie Harrison writes: 'Both crews have completed the Irish section of the
Castle to Crane, rowing 5 miles (8.04km). Only the Welsh section in July
is yet to be rowed. It’s a hard slog rowing against increased water flow caused by recent rains, but a delight to turn and row with the current. Castle
Forbes Bay suffered a setback when an elastic broke, Karen rowed for
both crews as Beata has injured her foot and is unable to row for a few
weeks. Sadly neither crew were able to equal their best times, but
completing the 8km is a great feeling regardless of the time.' Pics below. |
