From Jane Johnson: 'The Cartela was the focus of fundraising for the St Ayles Skiff Regatta in Franklin. Decorations, shining lights, a deck full of people overlooking the scenic Huon River and “Huonvibe” Jazz aboard the 1912 Battery Point-built steamship, made the evening a memorable one for all. To celebrate the one hundred and second birthday – the same age as the Palais in Franklin – people joined in to sing and toast a fine wooden boat. Next month a retro/vintage fashion show and high tea on board will give people the chance to experience past decades – so mark Sunday, November 9 from 2-4pm a “must-do” on board the Cartela in Franklin, another fundraiser for the International St Ayles Skiff Regatta to be held in February 2015.' www.tasskiffie2015.org 62663224    Best Dressed  |
