It’s great to see the shed buzzing with activity as new volunteers work along-side the regular maintenance teams to get the LBT fleet up to scratch for the start of the LBT’s major fund-raiser. A huge thanks to every-one who has come along to support the LBT. Every boat in the Raid must have safety equipment required by MAST – including a set of in-date flares. Flares have a three year usable life. The Raid is the only time the whole of the LBT fleet is on the water beyond the Huon at the same time and therefore the only time we need full safety gear for every boat. It’s painful to spend LBT’s hard-earned cash on flares that are only used for two Raids. If you have flares, anchors, sea-anchors (drogues) etc that you can lend to the LBT for the Raid please contact Martin Riddle (the Raid Coordinator): info@tawe-nunnugah.org  If we can’t borrow, we have no choice other than to spend LBT money on them.
