Calling all LBT nerds

The LBT website is built on a product called Google Sites (classic). Last week we received an announcement from Google which reads (in part):

  • Starting December 2021 - When users try to visit a classic Site, they will no longer see the website content. Any remaining classic Sites will automatically be:
    • downloaded as an archive; and
    • replaced with a draft in the new Sites experience for site owners to review and publish.

For us that means that lbt.org.au and the weekly newsletter which is based on it go away.

The 'new Sites' mentioned lacks many features which we currently use and feel we need.  There is a strong possibility that we will have to migrate to another platform, assuming we want a website.  If you have experience with this sort of thing and would like to contribute opinions and/or expertise please contact the secretary: sec@lbt.org.au, or submit considerations through the form at https://tinyurl.com/yxpxfaq4. They will appear in the table below (https://tinyurl.com/y4ew8f43).

An interesting (historical) reference is 'Your ideas', which was used to solicit ideas back in 2013 before we developed the current website.  See below, or at https://tinyurl.com/y255t33y .
