From Graham Wright The new extension is working well, when the wheels are fitted to the heavy bench and table saw, the space will be even more flexible. With Rowan and Imagine both in the workshop there is still plenty of room to work. Rowan was in pretty poor condition especially the paint work. Peter Hill has been supervising the preparation and choice of paint so it lasts until the next overhaul. Because we are using oil based paint in the cold weather, drying time has become an issue so it will take a little longer to finish than we first thought, but it will be worth it. The finished colours for Rowan will be, Inside hull as in the photo, all the light grey area in the photo will be Brunswick Green and the outside hull will be white. It appears that Imagine is getting close to a new coat of varnish to restore her to the original appearance. When Rowan is back on the water we will make a start on the Grebes, maybe two at a time once Imagine is finished so they will all be ready for the warmer weather. |
