Jane Johnson writes: 'Sunday October 18 saw the start of LBT “Botanical Skiff Tours” that in a leisurely fashion, discovered interesting flora and fauna along the banks of Egg Island. Crews on board Billie and Imagine took photos and even classified flowering plants. Having enjoyed the experience, plans were made to continue with fortnightly trips on Sundays at 9.30 to explore other parts of the island. The next skiff trip is November 1. There are plans to have a small exhibition of these photos with information on the local treasures to be found, and even a local brochure produced for interested locals and visitors.
