Graeme Oddie writes: 'The vessel is the Jandarra; a Creese Brothers’ small fishing boat built around 1957. ... Although it was designed as a fishing boat, a well was never installed. It was used mainly as a recreational vessel. ... It needs considerable attention. I have removed lining to access, inspect and replace ribs. A sinking at Margate meant that the original Arona motor, which I have been told was inadequate for the vessel, had been removed from the vessel. The vessel is in need of re-caulkeding, particularly above the waterline. The cabin top will also need to be replaced. I have put a temporary marine ply cover on the cabin and this at least offers protection at present. ... The vessel also has its original 30 foot Oregon mast. Rigging is also there but it is past its use by date. I would just like to see this old, very attractive, character vessel, go to someone who could perhaps pay more serious attention to it than I have been able to. ...
