The Bendigo Skiff was flipped on Monday night, allowing finishing touches to be applied to the topsides. That included installing the 'mystery' rowlocks. The 'mystery' question is, will they work? Rule 3 for the St Ayles Skiff design states 'Oarlock fittings are to be made of
timber suitable for its purpose', leaving a very wide scope for experimentation. 'Imagine' has cabes, 'Swan' has pegs, and now we have this new design. See http://bit.ly/1B7wz4D for the last report on progress on this boat. |
