Jane Walduck forwards the following: This is an invitation to you all to a night of fun and music and dancing (if you do that) at the Cygnet Town Hall from 7pm til midnight on Saturday 1st March. The ball is a double celebration of the 150th Cygnet Regatta AND 100 years anniversary of the Cygnet Town Hall. The dress for the night - nautical/historical/glamorous - so plenty of opportunity there. Anyone who needs a bit of help can call on my dress up boxes, but you may already have the necessary from the centenary ball and others at the Palais. Music - provided by the Matthew Ives Big Band and "16 to 61" so non stop all night, even if you are not dancing. Supper - the most scrumptious old fashioned supper will be served in the supper room in "sittings" they way it used to be!! Sushi, quiches and the best that the CWA is able to provide will be provided. The bar will operate in the hall downstairs as well. Prizes - local wineries and choclateers are providing costume prizes in several categories, as well as for lucky door tickets. Tickets - $40 each, including a free drink on arrival, are available from me here in Franklin but also online from the Regatta committee at www.cygnetsailing.org.au The tickets will be available at the door, but for catering we would like to presell. Numbers are limited by the capacity of the hall, so do not hesitate. Looking forward to hearing seeing selling feeding you all on Saturday 1st at Cygnet. |
