If you have ever admired Grant Maddock's red 'Apache' which is often anchored in the river (pic below), you may be interested in her sister boat 'Sioux', currently in South Australia and looking for a home.  Rob Ayliffe writes:

'I have had in my care for the past five years a beautifully built Athol Walter built Sioux open ocean racing boat. She is well known to Tasmanians, especially, and in very good structural condition all Huon planked, Nanni 2 cylinder barely used 13hp diesel, built in Geeveston and launched Circa 1963. She on the register of historic Tasmanian Ships.  I have tried many times and at some expense to find her a good home. I can no longer afford to keep her. I want $5000 for her as is here in Adelaide. That doesn’t even cover my mooring and insurance costs.'

Rob is threatening to wreck her if he can't find somebody to take her on. More info at http://www.amateurboatbuilder.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=32&Itemid=175
