The Wooden Boat Centre has forwarded us the following letter from Greg Guy's sister Meg.

I would like to thank all those kind people from the wooden boat builders who have so readily helped my brother Greg to move his belongings from his home to Lyn's home and also some trips to the tip and helped him generally get his home ready for the new owner, at such short notice.  My brother has been building wooden boats since he was old enough to hold one of Dad's hammers and nails. So you see you as a group have been a very important and loved part of his life.  I'm sure he would have loved to be in Tasmania a lot longer than he has.  Thank you also for building his casket out of the Sassafras timber that he so loves.  I am very moved by it all.  I'm so proud that he has earned so much respect from all you people that you would do this for him and also name the wharf after him.  I am so sad that he has to give this up as he says there is still so much that he wants to do.  I can't thank you enough.
Yours sincerely. Meg Saunders
