Anyone for a Thursday Workshop?

The committee has often discussed ways of keeping the shed open more often.  During the time our wonderful "woofers" George and Johanna were with us we were spoilt by having the shed open most days.  Of course we have our Monday night workshop and feast, our Tuesday group is going great guns with much happening and many new volunteers coming along to join the party. On Wednesdays and Fridays the WOW ladies, keen to maintain the momentum after completing the beautiful Imagine are now hard at it with maintenance on our Grebe fleet, with work just starting to complete the Whilly Tern Syrah.

That leaves one glaring hole in the week, Thursday!

With that in mind, starting next Thursday 16th April the shed will be open and  the kettle will be on for any one who wants to come along and spend a few hours, or the day doing some shed or boatie stuff.   Nothing too structured to start with, lets just see what evolves. There is always something needing attention around the shed. Dave Melville has been doing some great work tidying up, building racks etc, with still much to be done to make our shed safer and easier to work in (and around). Once we are up and running, we might find people would like to learn specific skills such as oar making, splicing, tool maintenance, who knows where it might end.

See you Thursday!

How sad the shed looks when nobody is working in it.
