members may be aware that the Trust obtained a grant to build a couple
of pontoons in order to improve access to our boats and accommodate our
growing fleet. Well we have the pontoons, which are being modified by Drysdale Engineering.We have the the timber and now we just need to build it! LBT stalwart, David Pittaway has bravely volunteered to co ordinate the build, and he would like to hear from any members who would like to help with this mammoth task. It's not quite the Ark, but there is a lot of timber to wrangled. Ten longitudinal timber beams have to scarphed before being bolted to the pontoons and then the decking fixed in place.
