Last year John Walduck visited Warrnambool Maritime Village and sent a report back about the 'Rowitta', a sister ship of 'Cartela' that was then an exhibit at this village.  He presciently said that 'She is in a terrible state of repair - I suspect she is sitting on the bottom of the pond as I doubt that she could remain afloat.'  We learnt recently that 'Rowitta' was broken up back in April, leaving Cartela as the only Tasmanian vessel of her type and period remaining, and we doubt she has many contemporaries left in the rest of Australia.  Pics below are before and after.   The story is on the ABC:  http://ab.co/1Goe3aL
