'Your Club was put forward to me as one which may be able to assist in my quest for data re one of our boats.  We always thought it was a lifeboat but have recently learned that it is a “whaler”, commonly used by the Nay(s) since the 1700’s.  I’ve researched whalers on the internet and have found some data, but our particular whaler is different in that it is iron... We understand it may have come from the HMAS Melbourne, but there were 4 HMAS Melbournes.'
