Whilst most of us wait patiently for warmer sailing weather others have taken matters into their own hands and headed north.  Hans Sipsma has just left Bowen in northern Queensland and is cruising down the coast.  Attached pic is of Gloucester Island in the Whitsundays, taken by Endra O'May who is crewing for him on the first leg of his trip.  Endra reports that they went ashore to see turtle nests with lots of goanna tracks around them.  Not so good for the turtles.  We believe Hans is on the lookout for more crew.  Anybody interested?  Meanwhile Pip Stevenson is out on the water somewhere around Sydney.  If you are subject to wheel envy you don't want to look at the second pic below.
