From Graham Rankin:
'After a light sand, and a dust down we adjourned from our heavy labours for a coffee, Anzac bikkies and chocolate cake. Suitably refreshed, we felt we had enough energy to apply the second coat of polyurethane to the "brightwork". That done, time for another piece of cake, must complain to management about the working conditions!
We even had time to wave farewell to Pete Heading as he ventured off in search of warmer climes.
Friday will see another coat of polyurethane, then next week, onto the painting. A few small projects are still to be done: leathering the oars, attaching the the pintles and gudgeons,
attaching the keel band and fine tuning the oar locks.
A May launching?'
