All four looms are now at the sixteen sided stage and ready for a quick swipe with a plane and then rounding over with sand paper. Blade tips are capped and with some sanding all oars ready for varnishing - the end is in sight ! Oh yeah - leathering, rowlocks etc! All screws have been removed from the third pair of planks, the frames shaped for plank four and it's now ready for bevelling and shaping of the gains or 'gerralds''.  |
